One of the imperative challenges faced by developers’ team was lack of API documentation availability. The team was only left with the option of relying on reverse – engineering.


Another challenge faced by the team was related to delays in implementing new features, such as subscription, due to incorrect API endpoint information.

SOLUTIONS

As a solution, the team chose to integrate API documentation into the development workflow. This step made the API updates reflect in the documentation instantly.

Our team maintained version control in the documentation, so that any updates or changes are reflected in the API endpoints.

User Interface and Experience

Challenges

The team also faced challenges in dealing with outdated code, and inconsistency related to it.


Existence of confusion during API integration, especially at the code level was a prominent challenge too.

Our team implemented assessment, refactoring, and automated testing to overcome the challenge of dealing with outdated code.

The team utilized interactive tools such as Swagger, for exploring and testing APIs. This method allowed developers to visualize endpoints, send test requests, and more.
