OVERVIEW

Project Overview

VenueVerse is an innovative table-ordering platform, designed by Biz4Group, to enable users to book multiple tables for dining, and schedule arrival to bars for specific events at the same time, in various locations across the United States. The principal goal of the platform is to combine several significant processes, such as Event / Pass booking, payment, and access into one mobile application, which will radically change the perception of nightlife and any events.

The mobile app allows the consumers to book bars, clubs, concerts and performances in a single app, that will reduce the time they spend searching for the options online.

To optimize the check-in, this solution provides a QR code function which enables guests navigate, directly to their selected tables or events simplifying the process and saving time.

Challenges and Solutions

While developing the application, the team faced the following intricacies, for which they implemented the relevant solutions:

Challenges

Real-time Reservation Management

Co-ordinating live bookings across various places was a challenging issue because it required immediate changes and synchronizing. If there are delays in updating the availability, then the situation will turn to overbooking and customer complaints.


Scalability for High Traffic Events

The system should be able to accommodate more users at once, especially during high traffic events like concerts or special occasions, which raised the scalability issue.

SOLUTIONS

Developed a sound back-end design and employed Socket. IO to synchronize ratings for restaurants so consumers can view real-time reservation data on different gadgets. This means that it is always up-to-date information, and the problem of overbooking is excluded.

Utilized AWS cloud services as a solution for creating an architecture that would efficiently process large amounts of traffic, during productive days and nights, holidays, or weekends.

Challenges

Data Security and Privacy

Making sure that user data is secure and that transactions conducted into the site are safe was paramount, this was so since users make financial transactions with the site.


Usability for Different Groups

To appeal to everyone, from the least to most technically inclined audience, the mobile app had to be both easy to use and fast for the advanced user, thus the appeal to the widest possible demographic.

SOLUTIONS

Implemented strong encryption protocols and safe payment interfaces and methods for safeguarding the user and transaction information.


Adopted well-thought user interface and responsive app design strategies to achieve application inclusiveness, targeting generic users, both the technological-savvy users and those reluctant in mobile apps usage.

A robust model for developing multifunctional mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, which would permit the mobile app to provide clients with similar interfaces.

ReactJS + Vite

A JavaScript framework for developing interactive user interface elements that would allow the mobile app to produce efficient front-end constructs.

PostgreSQL

A highly reliable, modular object-oriented DBMS designed for storing all the entailed data of mobile app on millions of clients, freely available on GitHub.

Node JS

Node. js is a cross-platform script operating environment that enables programmers to run JS scripts beyond a browser environment. It is implemented on Google Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine for developing node. js applications which are used in server side and networking.
