OVERVIEW

Project Overview

RechargedMD’s purpose is to work as an assistant for the management of hospitals and primarily help to improve communication and appointment management of practitioners with patients. Some of the tools available on the platform are; automated e-mailing system that sends reminders to both the patient and the doctor; calendar system that integrates with outlook and Google Calendar.

At first, the project faced serious security concerns, and, in fact, the platform was hacked before it got to us. Not only does our team find practical solutions to these issues, but also put risk protection measures in to further eliminate such flaws in the future. This project was crucial in making RechargedMD become a safe and effective platform for hospitals and other medical facilities.

RechargedMD facilitates seamless communication through messages, emails, event scheduling, and virtual calls, integrating tools like Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams.

Managing different user roles—hospitals, MDs, patients, and super admins—required a precise approach to data accessibility.


Integration

Another challenge was ensuring that RechargedMD worked well with the general healthcare technology architecture.

SOLUTIONS

For better management and security, we have employed a role-based access control system which has a different log-in interface for each user category and such users will be authorized to access only those features and information that pertain to their role.

We also built an effective integration layer that enables easy integration with these systems to manage calendars and schedules effectively and with no errors.
