Project Overview

A platform built to assist students in understanding psychotherapy case studies and assess their knowledge. The platform has virtual therapy tutors that can hold live sessions and are available to assist with any queries. Students are liable to perform assessments, they are accessed based on performance at every interval and provided with suitable results clearly stating their progress and areas of improvement.

We built AI avatars of real therapists that behave like a real human being. The idea is to help the therapy students learn via case studies. Later, they can attempt questions based on the case study they’ve analyzed.

The Challenges and Their Solutions

In our collaboration with the client to build the next-gen learning system for psychology, we encountered several challenges.

Creating the AI Avatar of Psychologists

Challenges

Refining Avatar behaviors with facial expressions, gestures, and movements was a challenge. It was essential for users to have a real feel and experience while conversing with Avatar and a challenge for developers to match the expectation.

Accurate synchronization was essential for lip sync as the delivery of words and expression is supposed to be on the same page. These are small essential outcomes for smooth interaction and better bonding of Avatar and students.

SOLUTIONS

We made the best use of advanced learning models along with effective speech processing algorithms. Along with integrating behavioral AI scripts, we used tools and technologies for real-time facial recognition resulting in excellent mapping of speech delivery and facial movements.

Tracking Students’ Performance

Challenges

Tracking the student’s performance was a challenge. The students needed a centralized place where they can see their progress and stay motivated to take further tests and assessments.

SOLUTIONS

Our team created a centralized dashboard where students can access their progress. The dashboard was powered by AI algorithms that resulted in personalized weekly goal progress, lowest scored categories, correct-incorrect answers and overall questions overview with detailed bar graph for better understanding.
